30,000 troops to Afghanistan

Well here it is 30,000 troops to Afghanistan for a "mission clearly defined" and "worthy" of the troops service.

Check out the transcript of Obama's speech on CNN site. As he says this is "not going to be easy". I hope the allies don't agree to join the USA as asked.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see all the troops refuse to go. They just have to say "no"...

We truly have over 189,000 people deployed over there. The number is growing.

Hi All,

First,

The two main opium producing provinces in Afghanistan; as in where all the opium is grown, are two provinces that are entirely controlled by by US/UK forces.

Second,

Is the fact that the US spends upwards of 20% of it's war budget to pay **insurgents** not to attack convoy's... Think about that we pay the people we are fighting not to attack.

Now if that doesn't show you the corporatism behind the agenda, and that it is a war policy based off of control, and power, then I don't know what is.

Third,

Pepe Escobar of Asia Times has written lengthy articles on "Pipelinestan". The plans for the pipelines were laid out long before the war.

Fourth,

The amount of natural resources both petroleum, minerals, or metal in Afghanistan are immense.

Other than that go figure, Obama is the winner of the Nobel Prize, and head of multiple active conflicts, or war zones in the world.

Wow, I guess ole Dickey Cheney was right.

Karzai says he will talk to the Taliban.....I bet things cool down over there in the next 18 months. Just long enough for troops to pull out. Then watch out all Hells going to break loose.....The world (especially the US) won't be safe from the Jihadists. Sorry to say.

And of course the war will detract from what is happening on home soil in USA. The dollar dilema perhaps ... A case of wag the tail.

yes Suzi all those parents having to say goodbye to their offspring. I couldn't do it. Having 2 sons I could not imagine them coping with war at 18 let alone early 20's.

My husband was in the last round of the Vietnam war draft process where they put your number in a hat. Whoever's number was pulled out, had to sign up or face jail. Fortunately for him his number wasn't. How humiliating to be put down to a number.

I don't remember where I read it but it was either predicted or prophesized that we would be in a 10 year war. I think we have a year or two to go before it's over.

I personally think Obama has lost the plot. He obviously is compromised in his NWO role and keeping face with the US. I don't think he's doing either well. Poor man. After all, I don't think it can be easy being in his position. But then, he chose it did he not?

I think he's already past the point of the US waking up to him. I know there are still plenty that think he's wonderful, but I have to think that at least some of these are holding onto a dream that they think he made true for them. The rest are just fooling themselves.

How long can he really last? For that matter, how long can the Australian Government and Krudd last?!! They are both tarred with the same brush in my opinion. I have to admit I actually voted Labour because I didn't want the sitting Government. Oh, and Krudd is a Queenslander. So much for parochialism.

OK, so how I've learnt my lesson, and we have (hopefully) escaped by the skin or our teeth from having the biggest scam tax in Australian history foisted on us. Now I want to get him out so he can't do any more damage. Bring on the dissolution. Do you have dissolutions in the US? I suppose impeachment is probably more appropriate in this case anyway.

Let's get them both out. We'll have a better world.

(I've no idea why I'm up this late, but hey....)

30,000 young adults being sent to war? That is a lot of sons and daughters of yours and mine. It matters not one jot whether they are American or not. We are all part of this one blue planet.

Everyone, please try to tell your children not to join the army! They will only be used as cannon fodder - they are the fuel of the PTB, nothing more, nothing less.

What is more disturbing is that due to the worsening economic situation, young adults will feel that is their only hope to get a job - yeah -killing other people. Lovely. How far do we have to sink into this cess-pit of hell?

Just say no, now.

Next dinner time, tomorrow, turn the TV off, and talk about it with your kids.

sounds like the same thing to me,
the man is a Kenyan FOOL and a few
other names I could mention.

He's suppose to of ordered 1 million
troops to prepare for civil war by
january now he's sending 30,000 to
Afganistan.
