It's been bad enough as it is; the UK has, so far, deflected all attempts at screwing its population into a biometric database.....but other countries seem hell-bent on it, no matter what else is going in in the world.
Now look out....here go the Russians, issuing the damn things en masse by 2012.

The war on privacy seems never-ending; the determination to shove everyone into some kind of database is an absolute all-out obsession. This article believes that India is also well on the way to full-blown national ID and the Mexicans have just started iris-scanning.

Can we all hold out till 2012/13? It feels like the tide is coming in faster than we can run.

I'd like to know whether we will all be overtaken by this, or whether events from "on high" will deal the necessary blows.

Hi Chris,

Mean while here in the UK the top msm story last night was about the hacking of high profile figures phones, mainly actresses and politicians.

We are subjected to endless information gathering, every website we visit, e-mail we send, who we call who we text, every journey that we make, every purchase, every visit to the doctors is logged. CCTV follows us every where but god forbid any one should listen to a polititians phone call!

I actually suffered thae droning on of one low level never heard of him politick droaning on about how he believed someone intercepted his calls at least 7 years ago.
