Another Levi Prediction Come True

Another of Levi's predictions comes true:

(Not an exact quote but near enough); poli-ticks will soon be surrounding themselves with body-guards and armour, for fear of what the public might do to them...."

Headline from today's ConservativeHome blog:

Those of us in the UK have been watching the shit flying from all angles now for a few weeks. We've got Cameroon's disgraceful capitulation to the EU over it's budget, which will cost the UK taxpayers an extra £480 million a year; we've got threats of an EU tax on the horizon.

We've seen the EU parliament raise its entertainment budget by over 80%; there are more hissings within Parliament over MPs' expenses; and Big-Mouths are now demanding that British Summer Time should be kept permanently, with a move to Central European Time; which will mean effectively Double Summer Time (2 hours ahead of GMT)....thus in Summer, 5am suddenly becomes 7am and you've lost two hours' sleep and also missed the bus to work....but hey, all in the name of profit and big business, eh? And keeping the kiddy-winks safe as they drive to school on dark mornings in their 4x4's.

Levi's comment would no doubt be "you aint seen nothing yet".

I can't say I'm looking forward to 2011/2012. At the same time, I do see big stirrings among many sections of the populus. I have a select bunch of blogs that I read on a daily basis; and I can say that the steam, fur and feathers are really beginning to fly now. One columnist finally admitted a few days ago that he had been duped by the Coalition's promises of repatriating powers from Brussels and was now deeply worried that the current UK government truly was going to do absolutely nothing about it.

The number of "I told ya so" posts that were added to the comments section was astounding.....and actually quite heartening, to show that people were finally waking up to facts.

So there they go with their new body-armour....just as Levi said they would. I havent read the Sunday Times article myself; cos I aint gonna pay to read it!
