Los Angeles

Los Angeles

Focusing on one event during this current climatic havoc sounds like small talk.

Forget the 5 feet of snow in Southern Germany and Switzerland that I never saw in the valley in decades of living there... the "Worst" winter in 1000 years in Russia, after droughts cleared the wheat fields this summer. Let's not mention that while we were setting record rain fall here in Los Angeles, South Florida was setting record cold temperatures and entire crops were wiped by the day.

Forget about the tax hike we had due to global warming and how the sheep's farts were taxed in New Zealand because, according to our weather experts, we would be melting by now... yes, I agree that, again, here in Los Angeles we had record temperatures of 113 F in August and many other places had record temperatures, but even in Wikipedia one can read what happens during "little Ice Ages."

I was off a few days for the holidays and had a chance to read fiction classics such as CNN and the other usual suspects but something caught my attention:

New Year’s Eve, Arkansas was hit with a twister, with winds of up to 140 miles per hour...tornadoes in winter... I know they can happen but the likelihood is really low, specially when it requires a certain amount of warm air to form... so the next day, January 1st of 2011 we see:

"One day after a violent storm system roared through parts of the nation's midsection, spawning tornadoes in several cities in Arkansas, freezing temperatures Saturday threatened to compound the plight of victims left homeless due to the weather.

Temperatures in Sunset Hills, Missouri, dropped Saturday to 16 degrees Fahrenheit – with a wind chill of 7 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service"

GO TO - Temps plummet in twister-stricken areas

I seriously had to scratch my head thinking the drastic changes of temperature for a sub tropical state.

Then, the very next day a sense of Deja Vu when I read the news... what a surprise Arkansas again in the news, but this time a very tiny article:
Massive fish kill blankets Arkansas River:
Arkansas officials are investigating the death of an estimated 100,000 fish in the state's northwest, but suspect disease was to blame, a state spokesman said Sunday.
Dead drum fish floated in the water and lined the banks of a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River near Ozark, about 125 miles northwest of Little Rock" (http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/01/02/arkansas.fish.kill/index.html?iref=allsearch)

Today, what do we see? They are trying to solve the mystery of why up to 5,000 birds fell from the sky just before midnight New Year's Eve....in ARKANSAS!!! Now... I promise I read all pages to give the benefit of the doubt to the MSM but, at least here in Los Angeles, we didn't hear about the birds until today... how about that.

For those people who still doubt what our friend Levi tells us and warns us about, I only have to say, it is not about believing, because this is not theology!!

See the facts, read back on the predictions on Levi's page, draw your conclusions and keep your ears sharp...the Haarp is playing.

Piers Corbyn
by: Lloyd

Thanks Andrew, yes, I know about Piers Corbyn - he's an astrophysicist (I was trained in Physics) and I've known about his methods for quite a while. Interesting that someone who was not specificly trained in atmospheric physics and was not trained at all in "climatology" (= pseudoscience) should be better at predicting the weather than the weather bureau!

That's because he's not steeped in the dogma of science, so he follows scientific method which says that observation and hypothesis are the only way, ie. dogma is religion.

I am very concerned about any predictions that Piers Corbyn gives - he's usually right, and that's because he looks at the Sun - the primary driver of climate - sees what it's doing both individually and in conjunction with the planets, then looks at records to see what was happening last time that set of circumstances occurred and he's usually at least 80% correct when he says it will happen again. Astrology? That's what the weather people say he does. But I think it's just good old-fashioned science done the good old-fashioned way. If it happens to look like Astrology, then perhaps scientists need to re-evaluate Astrology!!

Good to read you are all OK.

Loyd you may be right, more floods could be headed your way. 25-29 Jan

GO TO - Weather Action

Piers Corbyn, anti-Global warmist, from Weather Action says solar flares are used to predict weather patterns. Quote "The technique uses predictable aspects of solar activity - particle and magnetic effects from the Sun - and lunar modulations as the basis for forecasting weather many months and even years in advance"

Not sure if I would like to pay for his weather forecasts though. I'll stick with Levi. Have a read through his site and see what you think.

Victoria and Tasmania now on rain/flood warnings? Crikey! What next? UFO's? "Observing" as ol Levi tells us.

Stay safe everyone,

Sorry, wrong info re cyclone forming. It's off the coast of northern Queensland, near Townsville.

For the time being it's tracking away from the coast.

You can be sure it's being watched very carefully though.

Sending all those innocent people on a wild goose chase and thinking whats on here!

Wivenhoe Dam
by: Lloyd

Well, Lily, hopefully that dam won't burst - it's the one built upstream of Brisbane after the 1974 floods to mitigate flooding. Ironically, since it was huge, authorities decided to use almost half of its capacity for drinking water. A poor choice since most of the regular rain falls further north, but understandable.

However, that means the dam was already at 100% (half full) when this event occurred, and it only had another 120% to go (about 55% of the total). It's near that now, and the water has been steadily released to control the level. But this is the first time this dam has been tested to this level, and if there's anything wrong with it, I shudder to think what could happen - rather than just the sort of flood we had in 1974, it would be a tsunami like the one that hit Toowoomba, only far, far larger. Where I am, and where Toots is, we are out of danger from the riverside flooding that's hit Brisbane and Ipswich and so many other towns in Queensland and New South Wales. But if we were to have an inland tsunami, that would be truly disastrous.

We're OK...
by: Lily

Hi Andrew and All,

Myself, Lloyd and Tootsiana are all OK. I don't live in Brisbane, but Lloyd and Toots do. Miraculously their homes haven't been affected Have been constant contact with them. Looks as if the worst is over, but perhaps I speak too soon. Lloyd says more bad weather is on the way, plus there is a cyclone building up off the coast and another friend of mine on the Gold Coast says he's watching it very carefully and it's moving toward land of South East Queensland. Lovely. Also, the water has to go somewhere, some rivers closer to where I am are creating isolated communities not far from me.

Oh, and I forgot, just a small detail - there is a chance the Dam in Brisbane could possibly burst, if so, well, use your imagination. It would be carnage on a grand scale.

It's all been and is, rather frightening I must say.

In some areas power is cut, no mobiles, computers, online banking is cut, no drinking water in some parts, empty supermarket shelves (does all this sound familiar). Dead bodies floating in rivers, houses completely washed away,
snakes everywhere. It's pretty gruesome.

Everyone take care.

Floods in OZ,
by: Andrew

Hope Lily, Loyd and the other Aussies that visit this blog are OK over East in the floods.

I'm feeling the shock way over here in WA. Can't imagine what its like for you guys.

We have also had floods here up in the North of the state. Carnarvon recently received a years worth of rain in 24hours. Alot of fruit and veg come from that part of WA, the farmers have lost most if not all of their crops.

Same as Queensland! Billions of dollars worth of exported food gone down the drain, excuse the pun.

Looks like we're in for food shortages and price rises on fruit and veg OZ wide.

Let us know your OK would ya?

Dead Fish in NZ
by: Lloyd

Myra,

The fish may have died from noxious gas poisoning. Time will tell, if someone does an analysis of them to find out what killed them. NZ is on the Ring of Fire, which is basically a huge tectonic subduction zone.

There could be any sort of seabed deposits of gaseous ices which are liberated by the heat and pressure of the subduction, which could then cause mass killings of fish. The sort of gases I'm talking about are ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and the like, all of which could kill.

But of course, that it should happen right now, with everything else happening at the same time is interesting and,.... coincidental.... And like we all know, there are no coincidences... :)

New Zealand
by: Myra

Hiya,

I have been reading all of the weird weather/wildlife news reports too and I just had to put my 2 cents worth in.

Here in New Zealand hundreds of dead fish washed up on the beach too, and no one seems to know why.

'Hundreds of dead snapper have washed up on Coromandel beaches, leaving holidaymakers perplexed.

People at Little Bay and Waikawau Bay, on the north-east of the peninsula, were stunned when children came out of the sea with armfuls of the fish and within minutes the shore was littered with them.

Charlotte Pearsall, whose family have lived at Little Bay for the last 30 years, said she had never seen anything like it.

''It was so surreal,'' she said. ''It's such an incredible waste - it could've fed the whole northern tip of the Coromandel.''

People with binoculars said the snapper stretched as far as they could see and boaties reported ''a carpet of floating fish further out to sea all along the coast''.

''We initially thought 'woohoo a free feed' but they had really cloudy eyes and you could see the birds had been at them. Some of them had no eyes,'' Pearsall said....'

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/4512779/Hundreds-of-snapper-wash-up-on-beaches

Also of huge concern here is the number of earthquakes in Christchurch. Since the first big shake, there has been over 3000 'after shocks' in that last few months, and the only other swarm of quakes like these I can find are the quakes at Yellowstone Park.
I've searched the internet looking for any mention of a Volcano in Christchurch, but can't find any info.

If there is anyone out there who knows a little more about this type of thing, I would love some advice or theory about what is happening in New Zealand.

great info
by: Virginia

Hi guys,

Creepy indeed. As you well said Lloyd, it requires both...cold (assuming winter is cold) and warm (if we follow the "normal" weather pattern West to East, there was no warm weather in the NW, SW, Mid West before this happened...which made me wonder where it came from).

Josh, totally! I loved Flashforward!! I never saw it on TV (I don't watch TV), but rented the 2 DVDs with all the episodes to watch during a trip last May (I was just looking for something to keep me entertained for 6 hours flight each way and a lay over of 8 hours) and I loved it!!! it was originally a Novel by a Canadian (Robert Sawyer) adapted for the screen. If anyone likes Fiction that has a resemblance to reality, this is a great one.

Nadine, I was not aware how widespread this wildlife catastrophe was... thank you for the info.

Esme, yes, I did not forget my OZ friends nor my Colombian friends who (good or bad) have the UN down there now helping them cope with the displacement of over 2 million people and the loss of several hundreds of lives due to the heavy rain falls and mudslides... nothing short than a tragedy below the equator; too many things happening around the globe.

I have been reading about severe weather being the cause of the death of the birds in Arkansas...but last time I checked there are over 127 species of birds in Arkansas alone... wouldn't at least one or two more species be affected by weather? besides... all the pictures I have seen show only males? (females are brown)
I can't wait to see what lame excuse will be fabricated this time... I have already started hearing it is "Normal" that birds fall out of the sky dead...LMAO!

Weather in Oz
by: Lily

Hi Everyone,

Yep, strange weather abounds about the globe.

Thanks Esme for your concern of us Ozzies. Well, I can say, I for one, am OK and so are my friends.

What the Queenslanders are going through up in the north of that state, I can't begin to imagine though.

In Rockhampton and thereabouts, the flood peaked today. And there is a forecast of more heavy rain to come. Heaven help them.

They are talking about coming back to their homes with perhaps snakes and crocodiles lurking there. Not kidding.

Thankfully, we are a sanquid lot with a banal sense of humour. We may get a good movie script out of this somewhere down the track, lol...

Cheers,
Lily

Tornadoes and other weather events
by: Lloyd

I'm not all that surprised to hear of tornadoes in the middle of winter given what we know about changing weather patterns. The observation that tornadoes need warm air is only half right. They need BOTH warm and cold air, or more precisely, warmer and colder air - a temperature difference between two air masses even if both are cold, as long as one is significantly colder.

And so we have had exactly that situation with frigid air from the arctic, coming down into the more temperate regions, even if they are currently cold, frigid enough air will create the temperature gradient necessary, and voila, tornado.

One of the problems with the global warming story is that if the globe truly warmed, this would mostly occur in the colder latitudes, evening out the temperature gradients, resulting in LESS severe weather, not more. The reality is that as we slide into an incipient ice age, the temperature gradients that will result will give rise to more and more severe weather, even in winter as has just been observed. During ice ages, the equator remains quite warm, but north and south will get colder and the weather will follow.

Lloyd.

TV Show
by: Josh

This phenomena reminds me of a TV Show I was following for a little, I think it was called Flash Forward on ABC where the majority of the population blacked out for a few minutes and saw visions of the future.

There was later a reference to the birds falling from sky in some areas. Needless to say it was linked to a large device someone developed. His knowledge was stolen and the device built. They were at the time linking all these occurances to this huge device.

In comparison, yeah it would seem like it was referencing HAARP.

I can't remember what episode talked about the birds, but episode 10 about 19 minutes in references the discovery of the machine that may have caused the world to black out.

Watch some of the episodes here if you like, I was intrigued by some of the hidden messages throughout.

GO TO - Flashforward - works USA Only

keyword PLASMA, ha watch episode 10 - 19 minutes in and you'll see why that keyword is so fitting.

HAARP Is The Most Likely Culprit
by: Anonymous

While most people know there is a HAARP base in Alaska, they don't realize that there is one in the Arkansas area as well.

They must be doing some highly volatile experiments to be killing off so many species of animals in the area. I can only imagine what effect it's going to have on the poor people who live there. I think this is tied to the deliberate destabilization of the Gulf of Mexico when they caused that devastating oil spill last year.

Their ultimate aim is to depopulate the southern coast of the U.S. so the oil companies can take over the whole coastal area and drill for oil without people living there and regulations to stop them from doing so. It all comes down to the elite making money at the expense of the middle class and poor people and wildlife that lived there for generations.

GO TO - Video Youtube

Arkansas is on the New Madrid Fault line - could be the portents of a larger quake on the way? - could deaths be attributed to methane release?

Just in - 500 bird deaths in Louisiana as well....

Stormy mice, frog, snake filled waters ahead.
by: Esme

I just wanted to say my thoughts go out to our friends here from Australia and hope that they are not victims of the inland flooding caused by rain on the coasts. Make of that what you will.

HAARP I don't know maybe but the magnetic fields are going haywire hence wildlife ending where it shouldn't be. Huge swathes of land are sinking hence the flood waters not draining.
