Chile Earthquake 8+

by Josh
(USA)

www.msnbc.msn.com

In an MSNBC interview with Cecilia Lagos, a journalist from Santiago, described her experience during the quake.

She was awoke early in the morning to the tremor thinking it wasn't going to be that serious and she goes on to explain earthquakes are normal in her area. When it got worse, being in somewhat of a shock, she just froze and explained she wasn't sure what to do so she just preceded to lay in her bed as her neighbor fell through her ceiling.

One thing that she said during the interview and no attention is brought to it, but she stated that she was watching the sky changing color.

This has happen before....BUSTED!

10 mins before the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in China

If anyone finds a video of this actually happening in Chile, a link would be nice addition to this post.

Survival skills
by: Eileen

My husband and I have both lived in Hawaii (Oahu) --- me for a year in 1966 when my first husband was in the Air Force and he was stationed on Johnston Island in the Pacific, and my current husband lived and worked there for 8 years in the late 80's for IBM. In '66 it was an okay Island. Lots of partying (because booze was cheap if you were in the military)and Don Ho was maligning and insulting the Howlies in his rude, crude, drug addicted monologues in his nightly shows in downtown Honolulu. I went to one and walked out.

Hawaii gave me Island cabin fever - you can drive around it in an hour, everyone is on welfare, and if it wasn't for the military presence and tourism - well there.... 'aint no sunshine without rain as the song goes.

But I digress: I had awakened the morning of the quake around 3:00am Pacific time (there's that sleepless thing again) and got my laptop and sat in bed surfing the web. That's when I read about the Chile earthquake. Since I keep hubby awake with all my tossing and turning he had been sleeping in the other room. When he got up that morning I told him about the quake and potential for a Tsunami in Hawaii...so he watched and watched and watched the news from 7:30am to the end - around 1:30pm PST, where it was obvious that the Tsunami wasn't going to happen like the quakeologists had predicted. Hubby was disappointed!! It's a man thing!

The point of my essay is: the TV showed all those folks trying to evacuate from downtown Honolulu...with long lines of them stopping off at the gas stations to fill up their cars. I burst out laughing when I saw this, considering Levi has constantly told all of us to think of the Boy Scout motto....BE PREPARED!!

I had this vision in my head of a major disaster happening and all these knucklehead sheeple saying to themselves...oh I have to stop at the supermarket or gas station first to get some groceries and top up the gas tank. Meanwhile the Tsunami or whatever is bearing down on them.

The Hawaiian's have been on welfare for too long at the expense of the rest of us taxpayers. They actually believe that saying: I'm from the Gubmn't
and I'm here to help you.

Also, I guess you all read that the looting is rampant in Chile for food, water, etc. Can't say I blame them.

The log in word is SATIRE...does this qualify?

Web Guy Note:

I saw news clips of looting in Chile. They were nicking Videos and other electrical stuff.

Does 'Stupid F*cks' qualify?

Hi Josh

The entire east coast of Australia is on Tsunami alert from Queensland to Victoria. That's quite a large area, yep I'm on the east coast smack bang in the middle, but 20 minutes from the coast up on a plateau, so hopefully I'm safe.

While there is a high alert on the main news page, there are no warnings on my weather site, nor any warnings on TV. Yet it is all over ATS (Above Top Secret website).

Easter Island has been evacuated and apparently it's about to hit Hawaii, if it hasn't already.

HAARP? Sky changing colour - yep sounds familiar hey?
