Freak weather anyone?!

As Levi has many times over said, freak weather... South Eastern US has gotten hit by severe thunderstorms lately...

Mainly in the afternoon... Out of the blue, hail, strong winds... Power outages, flooding... Every day now... Weird, very weird... oh an this I on top of the fact that we're having record breaking temps of over 103 degrees!

How many Of you out there are experiencing something similar?

The great and magnificent one day heatwave ...

In this ever changing Stochiastic system we call the climate, there's always going to be 'freak' weather events. The climate has been fluctuating and changing long before humans walked upon this world, and will continue to do so for a long time after...

Here in the UK it's not really been 'Freak Weather' per say, but more of a complete mental breakdown of the met office in their reports.
Yesterday we had a day of sunshine, with temperatures between 26-29 celsius. A perfectly normal occurrence for this time of year. The day before it was wet and windy - also perfectly normal.

Read the news and you'll see hype over the weekend about a heatwave. Actually, on the day it was windy and raining, the met office was saying the sun was out and the sky was blue... My suggestion to them is to look out the window.

Since when does one day of sunshine and a perfectly normal seasonal temperature constitute a heatwave?

Today it is cloudy and humid, there is a fog in the hills and a whiff of thunderstorm in the air.

As the climate is a stochiastic system, it will be sensitive to particular resonances. The climate system has a particular strong correlation with solar activity. I can only say expect a lot more 'Freak Weather', as well as hype from met office insanity for those in the UK, over the next few years.

Expect more when they finally acknowledge that although the icecaps are melting where they meet the sea, the continental ice shelf is in fact growing at a faster rate. A development which will ultimately lead to so much cold water entering the sea, the oceans will cool and lead us into the next ice-age.

We also have freak weather here in Minnesota. It's been very chilly lately and it's almost July. This is the first time the weather has been this bad. Normally this time of the year is very humid and hot. Never very chilly and cool.

We also had dryness up to a couple weeks ago... Now it's storms! Not much rain with them tho... Just a lot of lightening and winds...
Now that u mention crops... Wow this hs been the weirdest year for my crops!! The pepper trees never grew more than half a foot from the ground.. My okra same thing, and then died... The only thing that survived were tomatoes... :-( and yes we have to water them too lol
Nature is not cooperating too much !

Here in coastal NC in a particular area where I live it seems like in the last month it's only rained twice and for not very long at that.

My grass is pratically dead and my veggies are only alive cause I take care of them, but nothings better than good ol fashion rain for your crops vs. water from the tap.

When I keep an eye on the weather radar for our state though there are strings of thunderstorms that sweep through and almost disappear as they get to the coast. I can't say it's freak weather, but the severe lack of rain has been noticed by most people.

Recently there has been a large brush fire in our area,,,smoke everywhere and ashes falling like a volcano erupted or something for the last couple days. Since it just recently rained it seemed like the smoke got worse. Could be cause the rain was helping extinguish the fire.

We are heading into hurricane season and I live in what they call hurricane alley. Fortunately we haven't had a strong one hit us in a few years from what I can remember, so we'll see. Probably gonna be due for a slammer at some point.
