Levi's earthquake predictions

by Eileen
(US)

I went onto Levi's earthquake predictions from 2007 and lo and behold he has Haiti at 7.0 - 7.5. I think that's pretty spot on, what say you.

And oh my goodness you should see the log on word!!!!

Haiti devastated by massive earthquake

US Government/Haiti/food shortages
by: Eileen

This is so spot vis-a-vis Levi's latest predictions, couldn't resist copying and pasting.

Whiskey & Gunpowder
by James Howard Kunstler
January 20, 2010
Saratoga Springs, New York

As the disaster in Haiti moves into its "Katrina" phase of organizational chaos, relief effort failure, and public health calamity, the world will get another lesson in the dangers of techno-triumphalist posturing. American authority pretends to be in flawless control of a situation that by the minute crumbles into anarchy and death as the generals strut their stuff and the CNN crews broadcast yet another feel-good segment about adopted orphans. At this point, one rainstorm is all it will take to kill what is left of the Haitian social order.

It's a tragedy for the ages, and tragedy is a fulcrum of the human condition that techno-triumphalism pretends to have vanquished. All the meals-ready-to-eat on God's green earth won't add up to a happy ending for everybody. Haiti was a disaster waiting to happen every bit as much as the Federal Reserve is for us. For decades, the USA's policy (and the UN's too) was just to stuff more food aid onto an island already so far beyond its carrying capacity for human existence that every new birth certificate was a death warrant in disguise. But free people are free to do what they will do, and in Haiti there was not much more to do than make more people.

Now the USA will also pretend that there is a Haitian government in charge -- as in the pathetic grandstanding of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the other day -- though the Haitian government was a fiction for decades before the earthquake struck. The recent blatherings of Bill Clinton would have us believe that Haiti is poised to become an exemplar of economic development for the Caribbean once things are tidied up there. What planet are these people living on? (Answer: Planet Limousine.) Rather Haiti is the example of what life may become in nations bethinking themselves developed further along in The Long Emergency. If the figures on world crop failures for 2009 are relevant, even places like the USA may get a taste of this before the end of 2010.

Cash for Haiti
by: Eileen

Lily - I agree about the cash for Haiti, and I was pretty shocked when I saw Obama nominating CLINTON (another sleazebag with his hands in the International cash register) and BUSH to run the show. I only give cash to charities who I believe do the most good for the least cost..in my case it's "Doctors without Borders", and I recently gave another donation to H.A.P., Hospital Albert Schweitzer, which AS used his own money to build years ago. It was slightly damaged but is doing the best it can under the circumstances. The real sleaze balls in all this horror is the UN, HILLARY CLINTON, BAN MOON (UN head - sounds like those Japanese looney groups that put the Sarin gas into the underground in Tokyo), AL SHARPTON and all the other poli-ticks rushing down there for their 5 minutes of fame, cluttering up the airport, bringing nothing but their own ego's, in a vain attempt to appear they are actually helping!!!

I know you didn't mean to slander all Americans with your OZ nom de plume of "Yanks" as "septic tanks", because I've always viewed America as the most generous country in the world when it comes to major catastrophes or calamities around the world. We're always there first, with the most, regardless of cost -- why? - because we can. The American taxpayer is always left to pick up the bill. There has been no word from countries around Haiti; Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, et al, offering aid. Heck, even Jordan sent a contingent to help out. One thing that has bothered me about the amount of Americans in Haiti, was that so many of them were charitable organizations and/or missionaries, which shows that the Haitian government for decades, even with all the money thrown at them from the US, has done nothing for their people -- witness the chaos in the streets, with no police or protection for the victims against predators.

I completely agree that I would do whatever I could to get food, water, shelter for myself and children in a similar situation. However, other than listening to the media reporting on the chaos, I haven't heard any criticism of this behaviour (other than the machete wielding yobs), who were quickly brought to heel by the Haitian people themselves. People do desperate things, when times are desperate, but the enormity of the infrastructure damage is such that I fear many more will die in the interim -- I too am doing the pyramid prayers. It's at times like this that one feels really helpless no matter what we do - send money, medicine, clothes, PRAY!

Cash for Haiti
by: Lily

Hi Everyone,

I rarely watch MS news these days, preferring to get my news from alternative sources, though I do like to tune in to see what BS they are spewing out.

My antennae was up and quivering when I saw Dubya, flanked by Clinton and Obama saying 'please don't send blankets and medicine, just send cash' with a smirk on his face, like we are all idiots for wanting to send something practical that may actually help these poor wretches. Cash will be fine...yeah where does this cash end up? I'm betting a large quarter goes into pockets where it doesn't belong. I'll be sending a donation anyway. Call me stupid, but I'm hoping some of it may get to the people.

Obama puts Dubya in charge of funds to Haiti when his government screwed up royally with Katrina? Like Levi says, pass me the sick bag. I don't trust any of these mongrels.

My heart goes out to the poor people of Haiti, I will use my pyramid to send some heartfelt energies to them. I urge others with pyramids to do the same for our brothers and sisters there.
As our Aboriginal people say - we are all one red blood.

Don't think we wouldn't all stoop to looting and violence if it happened to us. What would you do after 5 days of no food and water? What would you do to get that food and water to your children?

Use your pyramids if you have them.

Lily

Earthquake Map
by: Nadine

Hi Eileen (and everyone!)

It is definitely a map of "real time" occurrences of earthquake activity - you will note if you click on it day to day, that as and when earthquakes happen, the map updates.

Haiti and the US
by: Ei;een

Ironically, my favourite talk radio host has been interviewing tons of people who either were missionaries or business/political pundits in that area of the world, as well as Latin America. Almost to the last they all talked about the horrendous poverty of Haiti and that after three decades of billions being poured into the country, the governments were still corrupt and the cash/goods etc. never reached the people who needed it. Haiti doesn't have any resources that the US or any other country wants, other than a strategic location near Cuba and Venezuela. This morning a guy said that the Americans rushed in ASAP, because they couldn't allow China, Venezuela, Cuba, et al to beat them to the gun. Since there is no government, police control, food, water, etc., any country who got there first could more or less lay claim to taking it over, which is what we are now seeing happening here in the US. Obama pronounced he was rescinding the deportation of 30-50 thousand illegal Haitians, currently in the States and considering allowing a large number of Haitians to come to the States. Also Canada announced they would take a large number of Haitians.

I was divorced from my first husband in Haiti in 1982. It was a dump even then, Baby Doc was in power, the Americans had a presence even then, but it was kept quiet and low key. I had a Canadian lawyer in Haiti, stayed at his hotel for two days. It was right out of an Ernest Hemingway novel -- I met the most fascinating US businessmen (they all owned sweat shops - I was horrified when they gave me a tour of one)and talked to some US foreign office personnel about the country and why they were there. In two days I had enough material to write a story about it and I did, can't find it now, but I remember it vividly and may write it out again.

It was basically "Our Woman in Port 'au Prince". Got three marriage proposals while I was there, all based on paying me lots of money to marry them in Haiti (after my divorce) and flying back to Miami with me, then I would divorce them when I got back to the States. I thought it was all pretty creepy. It's a long story as to why I went to Haiti for my divorce and didn't get divorced in the States.

Earthquake
by: Andrew

I think Eileen is looking at the current map of earthquakes around the world. This is in the earthquake section of Levi's blog. Dont think it was an exact prediction even though Levi did say something about floods in that area in 2007.

Anyways, is this now a call for the USA to take hold of more land or "reclaim" land in the Americas which they have never quite owned before? Does this area have natural resources the US could possibly want for themselves? Will this be the unveiling of the ruins of Atlantis? Oh how the yanks will look good if they are the ones responsible for finding one of the Greatest Mysteries of humankind.

Keep an eye out on this area. I could be wrong, but anything is possible when the yanks are involved.

Levi's earthquake predictions
by: Eileen

Go to Levi's link on the side of the page under earthquakes, you will see the map of earthquakes for the world that he is predicting. You will see in the Caribbean location all the little balloons, click on them and you will see Haiti. I hope I didn't misinterpret this map --

Levi didn't specifically predict Haiti, but he did predict earthquakes in that area of the world. When I clicked on the balloon, I naturally assumed it was Levi's predictions for that area.

mmmmm
by: Lt ER

It is possible that Eileen misread the information. There is no specific mention of Haiti in the blogs. I think what Eileen may have read is the confirmation of earthquakes that had occurred on the map as the date was the 13th. I don't think Levi is that good to name the date. I am sure this is for earthquakes that have occurred.

prediction
by: TheChosen

I can't seem to find the prediction about Haiti... can you please specify where it is exactly.. on which page?

Web Guy:

Neither can I. Levi's blog is about the quake so I thought I would link it when I edit and post. It must have been before I came. Maybe it's in one of the blogs? Levi's busy so I can't call him until Sunday.

lLife amongst Death
by: Lt ER

This video loop has been playing most of the day on Sky News. I have been exposed to it quite a bit at work today as we have a couple of tv's in situ for customers to watch while they are waiting to be seen at my workplace.

And when I watched it again at home, I was finally able to breakdown in tears.

What struck me was in one frame, amongst the dead or dying, there was a mother breast feeding her young baby. Amongst this natural carnage, life is still being created, but for what kind of future?

Haiti was the first slave colony to rebel against the French colonialists in 1790/1 after being inspired Enlightenment writers such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the French Revolution of 1789. The island and its slaves were led to independence by Toussaint Breda L'Ouverture, who was fortunate enough to be literate. He was eventually deceived by Napolean and died in prison. An excellent account of the rebellion and the influence of the French Revolution can be found in the book The Black Jacobins written by CLR James.

As one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere it looks like the depths of hell and a long forgotten shithole.

I feel these people should be airlifted out of there and not made to struggle for a non-existent future or die in this cess pit.
